The Joy of Shopping. Fair Trade.

Fair Trade—what does that mean for us?

Our Goal

We are committed to trade based on partnership among all stakeholders: We deliver outstanding quality and provide producers from less developed countries with access to markets by promoting and supporting them, while also holding them to fair standards. Together, we want to get a little better every day.

Our Sourcing

We personally source our goods on-site and directly from suppliers who are committed to fair working conditions. This includes the legal minimum wage as well as protective clothing, paid vacation, and social security. As a rule, we give preference to members of the World Fair Trade Organization. Their criteria for member companies, which are regularly audited, are:

• Opportunities for economically disadvantaged producers
• Transparency and accountability
• Trade practices
based on partnership • Payment of fair prices
• Prohibition of exploitative child labor and forced labor
• Gender equality, freedom of assembly, and non-discrimination
• Improved working conditions
• Skills development and continuing education
• Public awareness and educational initiatives
• Environmental protection

Personal Contact

We have selected all of our suppliers after visiting them in person and carefully assessing their production processes. We select suppliers based on high quality standards and view our producers as equal partners. For this reason alone, we place great importance on ensuring that our products do not come from industrial mass production. We also offer our suppliers free pre-financing for production.

Our Success—the Success of Our Partners

We reinvest a portion of our revenue in sustainable aid projects in the country, such as Room to Read or the SOS Children’s Village in Samothimi.
